Who by slide 3 had already had about 12 questions. Mainly these centered around his pronunciation of the word processing (pro-cess-ing or proh-sess-in) – he was backed up by knowledgeable locals in the session – Steve Zemblowski and Ed Addison.

Meanwhile back in the Expo the CICS Explorer and event processing were the main topics of interests at the CICS booth

The more eagle eyed (or thirsty) would have seen a succession of Hursley personnel manning the smoothie stand including our very own Director, Dave Andrews.  I cannot be too nasty to him as he acquired a free massage for Scott Clee..

….as indeed Kathy Tyrrell did for me but they were packed up!

CICS sessions continue to be well attended and traffic in the Expo centre was fairly strong, with several new customers signing up to be part of the next BETA program.

CICS Marketing manager, Nick Garrod (@cicsfluff) has kindly agreed to throw away his buzz-words and shiny marketing foils to give us a little peek at what is going on at Share 2009 this week. If you are visiting Share and spot him, please go have a chat and demand he puts your picture on the blog!   Thanks to Nick and everyone out at Share! Now over to Nick for day 1 at Share. Dave Andrews delivered the keynote touching on all aspects CICS, without stealing anyone’s thunder for later pitches.

Steve Zemblowski gives the CICS TS V4 overview followed by a lunch and learn on the CICS explorer, patronised by 50+ attendees .

After a short break Matthew Webster and Diana Blair delivered to a full session a lunch and learn on the CICS Explorer and CICS Tools

The Expo centre (center) opened at 16:00 but Paul Kettley was delivering the birthday celebrations at the 4:30 CICS is 40 session.

It was then off to the Expo Center (sic) to meet and greet customers and business partners. Here there were coozies being distributed by the sponsor vendors and the cave girls (Dino-Software – anyone who has attended SHARE will know who I mean) were positioned right by our complimentary smoothie maker which was being looked after first up by our very own Mr January (Scott Clee – CICS Test Architect).
